Precise determination of E2 and E4 moments in (165)Ho from muonic X rays

An error occurred while generating the citation.

Abstract

The quadruple and hexadecapole moments of 165Ho were derived from the hfs of the 3d muonic states. The resulting values are Q0 = 7.44 +/- 0.07 b and II0 = 0.52 +/- 0.10 b2. The parameters of the nuclear charge distribution were determined. An indication for an angular variation of the skin thickness was found.
