Abstract

Attached X-chromosomes (XX) of Drosophila melanogaster separate occasionally (L. V. Morgan,(1) Anderson,(2) Muller and Dippel,(3) Dobzhansky,(4) Sturtevant(5)). The present cytological study was undertaken to compare the structure of detached X's with that of normal X-chromosomes.
