Search for Neutral-Weak-Current Effects in the Nucleus 18F

Abstract
The circular polarization of the γ rays from the 1.08→0.0 MeV transition of 18F has been measured to be (-0.7 ± 2.0) × 10^-3, a value significantly smaller than predicted by recent calculations which include the effects of neutral weak currents.
