Abstract
Tilton et al. (1957) have shown the basis for interest in dating zircons and also some of the difficulties of the method. Discordance in the three ages Pb²⁰⁷/Pb²⁰⁶, Pb²⁰⁷/U²³⁵, Pb²⁰⁸/U²³⁸ obtained does not always receive a satisfactory geological explanation.
