Abstract
Ideally, electrochemical synthesis processes should perform value-added chemistries at both electrodes. However, electrochemical reactions are typically studied and optimized one half-reaction at a time and integrating different half-reactions into one cell often poses significant compatibility challenges. Wang et al. employed heterogeneous redox reservoirs to temporarily store charge and sequentially couple diverse anodic and cathodic reactions.
