Abstract
The flow of air through San Gorgonio Pass constitutes a meteorological phenomenon that has gained the respect of both aviator and motorist on more than one occasion. During the summer months, when the air masses adjacent to the ground are cooler to the west of the pass than to the east, the prevailing winds are easterly into the Colorado Desert. In winter, when the reverse is true, the prevailing winds in an opposite direction.
