Women in Physics, Math and Astronomy at Caltech: Supporting Women in STEM

Abstract
Women* are underrepresented in STEM fields and at PVSC. This can be addressed by recruiting more women to the field and better supporting the women present. This paper details the efforts of the Women in Physics, Math and Astronomy organization at Caltech to support the careers of women, presented as a model on which to base women's organizations at other institutions. *We use an inclusive definition of "woman" and "female," welcoming trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people.
