Application of image processing techniques in a search for gravitational lenses and quasar pairs

Abstract

We discuss application of two image processing techniques to high-resolution imaging of quasars, in a search for multiple images or companion objects: PSF subtraction, and MEM seeing deconvolution, on the examples of QSO 2300-352, and QQ 2345+007.
