Cyclotron Echo Phenomena

Abstract
The physical mechanisms by which echoes are produced in a system of many charged particles gyrating in a static magnetic field is outlined. It is then shown how these ideas carry over to large systems of (almost) harmonic oscillators and are therefore applicable to many other physical systems.
