Electron flow through multicopper oxidases
Abstract
We have investigated laser-triggered electron flow through Ru-modified Thermus thermophilus laccase. The results indicate that tryptophan and tyrosine residues near the trinuclear (type 2/type 3) copper site play a key role in the catalytic cycle of the enzyme.
