Optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy with improved sensitivity and scanning speed

Abstract

We improved the sensitivity and the scanning speed of optical-resolution (3.8 µm in transverse direction) photoacoustic microscopy by 11.4 dB and 3 fold, respectively. Ex vivo and in vivo investigations are provided.
