Equivalence principle violation, antigravity and anyons induced by gravitational Chern-Simons couplings

Abstract
The interaction of point sources with topologically massive gravity in 2+1 dimensions leads to a variety of novel effects. These include generation of gravimagnetic fields by a structureless point particle, which becomes an anyon. The latter has an arbitrary spin with corresponding statistics under particle exchange. An intrinsically spinning particle leads to solutions which violate the equivalence principle and can even generate a repulsive Newtonian potential. The canonical formulation of the full nonlinear theory is also presented.
