The rise and fall of the Great Barrier Reef
- Creators
- Keane, James Tuttle
Abstract
Webster and colleagues present a comprehensive study of the history of the Great Barrier Reef from analyses of fossil reef cores. They find that the reef tracks the changing sea level over the past 30,000 years, with several reef death events triggered by rapid seal-level change.
