Abstract
During the past year, more than 300 new loci have been assigned to Chromosome (Chr) 3, including 25 new genes. The remainder are simple sequence length polymorphisms (SSLP), anonymous marker loci, or cytogenetic markers. The Chr 3 map now includes over 700 markers. As in previous reports, new loci have been integrated into the previous map with the primary objective of maintaining an accurate order. Distances were adjusted to assume a length of 95 centiMorgans (cM) for the chromosome.
