A remark on the Higgs effect in presence of Chern-Simons terms
Abstract
In D=3, a Higgs scalar is shown to transmute a non-dynamical Chern-Simon term into topologically massive, parity-violating, electrodynamics. A similar transmutation also occurs for gravity.
