Vegetative Lambda DNA V. Evidence Concerning Single-strand Elongation

Abstract
Sedimentation analysis of briefly pulse-labeled, replicating bacteriophage lambda DNA suggests that approximately one-half of the label incorporated into the replicative intermediate is incorporated into single-strands which are longer than the single-strands of viral DNA.
