Abstract
Although there has been some encouraging success with regard to building synthetic molecules that bind large sequences of pure A,T-rich double-helical DNA, there has not been corresponding success in the development of well-understood G,C recognition. Progress in this area is an important component in an overall strategy of coupling G,C words and A,T words into sentences that uniquely recognize long sequences of right-handed DNA.
