Abstract
In the course of an investigation on the alkylation of α: α-diphenylacetophenone (1) a series of compounds was obtained which, in view of their structural relationship to triphenylethylene, appeared to be of interest as potential estrogens. Table 1 presents the result of the provisional tests for estrogenic activity. Assays were carried out according to standard. procedures.
