Abstract
The high-resolution ^(13)C spectrum of benzene has been analyzed. The long-range carbon-proton coupling constants, Jcca = + 1.0 Hz, J_(CCCH) = + 7.4 Hz, and J_(CCCCH) = - 1.1 Hz, have been related to protonproton coupling constants in selected model compounds.
