Nanoparticle therapeutics: from concept to clinic

Abstract

We have translated two nanoparticle-based therapeutics into the clinic for use as cancer therapeutics. These nanoparticles have been investigated in ca. 10 clinical trials. I will describe how we translated these nanoparticles from the laboratory at Caltech into clinical therapeutics. Lessons learned from these translational and clinical experiences are accelerating our current translational efforts with nanoparticle-based therapeutics for cancer.
