The ^(18)O(α, γ)^(22)Ne reaction

Abstract
With time-of-flight techniques to reduce fast-neutron background, an excitation function for the ^(18)O(α, γ)^(22)Ne reaction has been measured over the energy range E_α = 2.15−3.70 MeV. The energy dependence of the reaction cross section is compared with the predictions of the nuclear optical model.
