Handbook of Physical Constants [Book Review]

Abstract

This is the long awaited revision of The Handbook of Physical Constants which was compiled by Francis Birch and which has served geologists, geochemists, and geophysicists well for over 20 years. The Editor of the revised edition is to be complimented for undertaking such an arduous task and seeing it to completion. Although any handbook can be criticized for selection and treatment of topics, such criticisms, in the case of this book, will not affect its status as a standard reference work on the physical and chemical properties of the Earth and its constituents.
