Special issue - Physical and chemical evolution of the Earth - Preface

Abstract

This Special Issue represents a portion of the papers presented at the interassociation (International Association of Seismology and Physical Properties of the Earth's Interior and International Association of Volcanology and Geochemistry of the Earth's Interior) joint symposium, 'Physical and Chemical Evolution of the Earth', held at the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics meeting in Boulder, Colorado, in July 1995. It covers a wide range of topics on accretion, core formation, and dynamics of the Earth's interior. Some 31 papers presented by authors from 11 countries contributed to the Symposium.
