Abstract
Olefin metathesis has become a tool for the synthesis of a variety of mols. and materials. In the past several years the efficiency and selectivity of the catalysts have greatly improved. Catalysts are now available that allow the precise control of the double bond geometrh of the product double bond. Organometallic synthesis and computational results have resulted in new levels of selectivity and efficiency.
