Abstract

The past decade has seen a revived interest in the study of photoeffects at semiconductor/liquid interfaces. Most of the recent attention to this field has been spurred by the desire to utilize such junctions for the conversion and storage of solar energy (1-4). The possibility of direct fuel formation the semiconductor/liquid interface, combined with the potential low cost and ease of junction formation, are frequently cited as the most attractive features of these systems.
