POD Model Reduction with Stability Guarantee

Abstract
Issues concerning stability of models obtained from model reduction using the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) are investigated in this paper. A sufficient condition which guarantees preservation of stability is given, and a stability-preserving POD model reduction scheme is proposed.
