Design and analysis of annular photonic crystal and Bragg resonators by coupled waves approach

Abstract
This study proposes and analyzes a new type of disk/ring resonator based on radial Bragg/photonic crystal reflectors. This work also proposes and demonstrates a novel analytic design approach for such resonators which is based on coupled wave formalism.
