Abstract
There has recently been some discussion on the use of the model of a wrinkled laminar flame for an approximate description of turbulent flame structure. In particular, Summerfield has claimed that some of his observations contradict theoretical predictions based on the use of this model. 4 It is the purpose of the following discussion to clarify 150me of the consequences of the wrinkled laminar flame model.
