Measurements of infrared absorption by water vapor at temperatures to 1000°K

Abstract

The integrated intensities and spectral absorption coefficients of water vapor in the 1·38 µ, 1·87 µ, 2·7 µ and 6·3 µ spectral regions have been measured at temperatures up to 1000°K. The experiments were performed in a specially designed, high-temperature absorption cell using self-broadening to remove the rotational fine structure.
