Ferrocene, Ferrocenium and a Bis(maleonitriledithiolate) Complex of Nickel

Abstract
The crystal structure of the title compound, diferrocenium bis{bis[1,2-dimercaptoethene-1,2-dicarbonitrilato(2-)-S,S']- nickel(III)} ferrocene, is a 2:3 complex of [Ni{C_2S_2(CN)_2}_2] and [Fe(C_5H_5)_2]. The structural data suggest that the formula for this compound can be written as [Fe(C_5H_5)_2]_2[Ni{C_2S_2(CN)_2}_2]_2.[Fe(C_5H_5)_2].
