Abstract
Current theories of emotion vary with respect to many aspects such as the nature and function of emotion components, or the role of appraisal mechanisms in eliciting emotion response (e.g., Coppin & Sander, 2016). Because most reviews of emotion theories tend to focus on differences and oppositions, Agnes Moors's (this issue) focus on similarities and shared ideas between two major theories of emotion represents an important and rare contribution to the field.
