Active dielectric antenna for phase only spatial light modulation

Abstract

We demonstrate an active dielectric antenna based on reflective high-contrast subwavelength gratings for phase modulation of reflected light by nearly 2π. Large-scale integration of such antennas will enable high-speed low-cost phase only spatial light modulators.
