Memorandum on water tunnel tests of a 21 3/8" rocket projectile
- Creators
- Knapp, Robert T.
Abstract
This report covers water tunnel tests of a full scale 21 3/8" long rocket projectile (designed in the laboratory as projectile number ND-11-Impervium). Photographs of the projectile are shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3. The purpose of the tests was to determine the hydrodynamic forces acting on this projectile for different angels of orientation with respect to the flow, and to determine the location of the point of application of the resultant of these forces.
